There are many innovative decorating techniques that Cerve continually develops to meet daily  needs. All thanks to a fully equipped research and development department staffed by highly qualified technicians and graphic designers.

UV & ORGANIC INKS

We are able to offer a wide array of colour pantones with the exclusive use of high performance inks totally void of any heavy metal content. Special effects, through the use of thermosensitive, fluorescent and fragrance inks are all within our grasp as are brail, glitter and mirroring effects just to name a few.

PRECIOUS METALS

Precious metals can easily be printed onto glass or onto a transparent base to achieve an embossed effect.

HOT STAMPING

Wherever the use of precious metals is not possible, we can produce a very similar effect with the use of hot stamp printing which entails the use of an underlying primer onto which we heat transfer a gold or silver foil.

Different shades of gold and silver are available, as well as special colours.

PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTING

Images with a resolution of 110 D.P.I. can easily be reproduced and contoured around the glass.

Wherever screen printing is not possible, pad printing or sublimation will solve the issue.

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY

We have developed technologies in recent years to apply decorative metal and plastic plaques and accessories to glass. This is achieved through a mechanical stapling and punching process.

LASER ENGRAVING

The process entails the use of a laser beam which effectively melts and vaporizes the surface of the glass thus removing it. The end result is an engraving of the surface.

Laser engraving is totally resistant to any type of washing process and produces a fine frosted white effect on glass.

An extremely versatile decorative method which can be applied to any surface where conventional techniques are not appropriate. It can be used on the inner or outer surface of drinking glasses and is durable over time. Glasses can be nucleated using this technique.

This technique was developed above all for the tableware sector and allows for printing of up to 8 specially made organic colours.

Compared to ceramic colours where this is not possible, we are able to achieve a complete palette of translucent or opaque colours (for example: a range of pure reds, violets and fuchsias), totally void of any heavy metal content and dishwasher safe.

This technology enables decoration of flat surfaces such as the underside of glasses or stemware.

There is an unlimited number of colours that can be applied so photographic digital imaging can be processed with transparent or opaque colours.

All these colours can safely be washed in a dishwasher.

Frosting

FROSTING

This is obtained with the use of acid baths. Full or partial frosting can be catered for.
A similar effect can also be obtained by means of sandblasting.

COLOUR COATING

In accordance with our “Green” policy, water-based paints are ideally used. A wealth of different effects can be achieved to suit the customer’s request  (shiny, opaque, metallic, etc.)

Colour coating can be full-body or bespoke.
